Floria Marshall
Floria started the club up back in July 2002 when the club was originally named Chesterton Netball Club and training was in Chesterton. The club was originally set up for a group of girls that wanted to get fit and have a bit of a laugh, never did she envisage it would grow as successfully as it has over the years. Floria arranges our fundraising events and over the years the club has raised much money to help towards new kits etc. We have even donated some to charity. She is a regular WA for the 1st team. Floria has recently qualified for her 'Beginner umpiring award', and is currently working towards her 'C award'.

Sally Galenski
Before joining this club, Sally had not played netball since school, like the majority of our club members. She has been with the club since the beginning. She is captain of the 1st team, and mainly plays GK/GD. Duties include arranging teams & organising friendly matches, ordering new kit and accessories etc, along with maintaining the website. She was awarded 'Players Player of the Year' for the 1st team in 2007. Sally has recently qualified for her 'beginner umpiring award', and is currently working towards her 'C award'.

Karen Neal
Karen has been a member of the club since not long after we started up. She had not played netball since she was 15, and when she arrived for her first training night, there were 3 other girls with whom she used to go to school! Probably our most enthusiastic player, she loves being part of the club, and really feels that her netballing skills have grown with the club. She refers to herself as a 'pacifier' on court, and always tries to have a laugh and make it good fun as well. A regular for the 1st team, usually playing as WD.

Vicky Clements
Vicky was with the club right back at the beginning, but then took a break from netball for a few years. Having re-joined back in September 2007, she's now back with the club and mostly playing WA or C for the 2nd team. Vicky’s young daughter Ellie is also a regular at training and on the sidelines of matches and has become a regular fixture with everyone at the club.

Jayne has more than 16 years of experience of netball. Originally playing for Jets, she transferred to Cherry Hinton in April 2005. She is an outstanding shooter, and mostly plays GS for the 1st team. She is also a qualified 'C' award umpire. She coaches us some weeks at training - and umpires nearly all of our 2nd team matches in the winter league, second team friendlies, as well as regularly helping out other clubs with umpiring requirements.

Jo Hayman
Jo joined us back in January 2006 - she nearly always plays GS for the 1st team. Jo has taken her beginners umpire course. She says: I have been playing netball since the age of 10 yrs old, and there is no better way to continue that enjoyment than playing for the Cherry Hinton Netball team. She has loved every minute of being with the club. Playing with Cherry Hinton has increased her knowledge of the game and has given her a better understanding of the game itself. She also achieved 'Managers Player of the Year in 2007', which she says is the most memorable moment of playing netball so far - and another good thing - is that she has made so many wonderful new friends!

She's involved in organising various different types of events, which in the past have included a 'Race Night' fundraiser, Christmas 'awards' meals, nights out & more
